Standout S.M. East and KC Power volleyball player, Sarah Bingham, sat down with KC Athletes to discuss her college recruitment and why she chose to continue her volleyball journey at the University of Illinois.
Bingham, a three-sport athlete at S.M. East, says that her volleyball recruitment began in middle school. She briefly visited Champaign during the summer of her freshman year, and the University made a positive impression. As she went through the recruiting process, Bingham took two more trips to catch the team in action before committing her Sophomore year.
Bingham follows former KC Power standouts Megan Cooney (Topeka – Shawnee Heights) and Taylor Kuper (Olathe Northwest), who are current members of the Fighting Illini volleyball team.
