It would take up way too many characters to type out all of the accolades received by former Blue Valley West All-Everything setter, Madison Lilley. We will just provide the hyperlink for you to check out her credentials HERE. During our interview with Lilley, she discussed how she decided upon the University of Kentucky, her experiences growing up playing volleyball on the club circuit, and her sacrifices to play volleyball at the highest level.
Lilley currently is in the midst of a senior season that, in the words of the great 20th Century poet Will Smith, was “flipped turned upside down” this fall. Through it all, she exudes positivity and excitement for what she believes her Wildcat volleyball team can achieve this spring. As we all are looking for something to keep us going these next few months, we suggest that you tune into the SEC Network and catch Lilley setting up her teammates like Sue Bird on a fast break. With Lilley’s work ethic, talent, and attitude, we are confident that she has U.S. National Teams in her future.
When people ask us what we are about at KCathletes.com, our canned response should be, “We are about athletes like Madison Lilley.” We hope to provide future metro athletes the coverage they deserve while they are here in our city. Quite frankly, as sports fans, we need to enjoy and marvel at their tremendous talents while they are here in our local gyms. Lilley should be a household name in KC, a name that we mention with Rush, Temple, Sproles, Pint, and Sock.
